It's a Final Countdown...

..17 days left of this project.

I finally had time to exercise after Christmas and I liked my new training program a lot. Now my muscles are hurting because I had so long break due to my flu and Christmas and husband's fever. 

I have now started the final spurt before my project ends. I have couple of days to fall into temptations still. New year's eve and my husband's birthday in the beginning of the January. Actually, it has been difficult to eat properly after Christmas, much more difficult than I thought beforehand. It would be so easy to find old me, who ate everything and had yoyo weight change all the time, and return to old bad habits again. And I'm not that strong as I thought I would be and I'm more worried about the maintenance of my weight and new body. More worried than I was when I wrote about it couple of writings ago. Especially, that I have to go to office and work 40 hours per week, and have daycare, new job and home maintenance that I have to also think. 

Anyway, now that I'm in the final metres of this weight losing project, I'm going to update my weight to the milestones table once a week as I already have done last Friday..

Too Calm Christmas

My husband had fever during the Christmas so I had to give up the plans to exercise and walk and run outdoors. I looked after the kids to give husband chance to heal. Anyway, today we had guests and I finally went for a walk. I dream of running tomorrow if it won't be too cold. It has been somewhere -20 degrees the whole Christmas so perhaps I exercise front of the TV instead. We have plans to meet relatives and friends for every day the rest of the holiday so hopefully the others won't have flu now and we could meet finally people after too calm Christmas days home indoors.

Fittness Test Before Christmas

I finally had some time to do fitness test before we calm down for Christmas. Kids are for some reason quite hyperactive at the moment. They are too exited to wait Santa Claus visit. So I had some interruptions while running high knees. Then the kinect sensor needed calibration because I moved it due to living room cleaning and even if I had done it the sensor couldn't see my one leg raise at all. For these reasons my endurance and flexibility wasn't in the same level as before.

On the other hand, I could do 25 single leg squats with both legs, 10 men's push-ups and my balance score raised a lot. Still, I'm proceeding with the program even if it has been in a use for one year now.

Fitness Score was 57 this time and Athleticism Score is 51. And all points below.

-34kg After the Birth

I woke up this morning and made quite an unbelievable result in the weigh-in this time. I have lost 2.5 kilogrammes in two weeks meaning 22 kilogrammes from January and actually, meaning 34 kilogrammes from the day I gave a birth. I have drank too little water but eaten proberly, expect the day and night we barbequed, and I have exercised much less than before due to the flu I have had. That's why I also decided to skip the fitness test and do it maybe tomorrow, if I feel energetic enough. But still, I got a good result.

The whole week has been actually totally unbelievable and I have started to believe in Santa Claus again. The new job is the best present for years I guess.

Flu, New Job and Barbecuing

I haven't updated the latest news since the whole family has been in a flu last week just when I planned to have lighter week without hard exercising. And in the beginning of this week I finally managed to get a new job which should start on January, so that took all my time. And then somewhere there in between other businesses we barbecued with the friends on Sunday, drank alcohol and had a one day pause from the dieting. I didn't gain any weight because of that so it was a good boost to the end of this project. 

And now I still have flu. I walked today couple of kilometres but I guess this week still goes without exercising. Let's see, can I do the fitness test on Friday or should I just try it later..

Concern over Next Year

Part of us has got the habits to take care of own bodies from the parents. Part of us doesn't have to pay attention to their food or exercising. Taking care of own body or respecting healthy way of living is a habit that part of us has grown into. Unluckily, I haven't got any habits to exercising or proper eating as kid and I need this kind of projects to learn them. 

Now, that the easiest part of the project to get healthier and longer life is soon coming to an end I have started to be worried about my part II of the project. How am I going to maintain my habits to exercise and eat well? How can I keep my weight down in a level where I in this project succeed to decrease it?  What if I start to gain weight again and in a year I'm 10 kilogrammes bigger again. And if I don't care it then, when am I going to gain another ten kilos? I have heard so many successful weight losing projects but how many really successful maintance projects there exists? Do I have power to keep the spirit and create one of those success stories? If I am returning to an office and three kids are waiting for mum's attention in the evenings, when I have time to think of myself?

I must succeed, there is no other option! I have wanted this so long..!

Btw, I'm already 32 kilogrammes lighter than when I had a birth a year ago..

Weigh-in Result

Yesterday, my weight was 19.5 kilogrammes lower than in January. It was so close that I could have already celebrate my 20 kilos weight loss. But my weight is now only 3.5 kilogrammes behind the target I have set when it was 5.5 kilogrammes behind still in October. I can still reach the target!

Today, I started to fit old clothes on and realised that I can fit already into every target clothes I have saved here at home. I even wore my old dress which I wore 13 years ago when I passed high school and it looked good on me. I have only too big clothes and fitting clothes now. Wow, and I should bring my old wedding dress from the storage and try it also.

Chocolate Bars, Ciders, Burger Meals etc.

I hate my aerobic sessions nowadays. I guess they are a bit too heavy for me with all the jumping jacks, x-jumps, and x-jump combos. Lately, I've been I thinking that my weight is on the level, which it was after my wedding. So actually now my pram walking and aerobic sessions are burning the fat I achieved with the wedding cake and other bad food I have eaten after the wedding, almost ten years ago. So, today I started to say aloud all the things I have eaten to get all the fat. Chocolate bars, Carrols meals, cider, gin long drinks, pizza, French fries etc. I got so much power to continue running with high knees and doing the x-jumps that I continued to the end of the drills, even if I would have otherwise given up. So once again, a great, more killing and harder exercise behind than ever.

I recommend the same method to anyone who is losing weight and hates it's hardness just now!
